Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Delray Beach is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Delray Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I recently brought my 2010 Audi R8 to Kurt's Shop, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Kurt is incredibly knowledgeable, especially when it comes to high-end European vehicles. He took the time to answer every question I had, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel rushed. He completed both maintenance and repair work on my R8, and the quality of the work was excellent. What really impressed me was his honesty and integrity. Instead of recommending unnecessary repairs, Kurt actually suggested holding off on a few items that weren't immediately needed, helping me prioritize future maintenance and save money. That level of transparency is hard to find. Beyond his technical expertise, Kurt has a great sense of humor that made the entire experience enjoyable. It's clear he genuinely cares about both his customers and their cars. In fact, the day after I picked up my R8, he personally called to check in and make sure everything was running well. That kind of follow-up and customer service is rare these days and speaks volumes about how he runs his business. The pricing was fair and reasonable, especially considering the level of expertise and attention my car re

Kurt is the BEST! Very honorable and very fair with his prices. He worked on my Porsche and he knew the exact problem. I received my car back the same day. See you again soon.

Have taken 5 different vehicles to have serviced over 20 years, and Iβve experienced complete and satisfying results, in all of the vehicles, that have been repaired. Kurt takes the time to personally, explain, what has been done, what to think about, if any repairs might need to be made going forward, and offer advice, going forward, when it relates to your current vehicle. A person touch, that I have not experienced, at the Dealership level, and not as costly, as well.

Kurt and his crew are hands down the best. They are extremely knowledgeable, very honest and hard working. To start: We flew in from out of state to buy a bmw x3, when I bought the car it was mechanically perfect. However it suddenly developed a loud squealing sound. It turned out to be a damaged valve cover and it also had a CEL from a (no signal camshaft sensor) Kurt was able to get me in same day, get all the work done same day at very reasonable prices and very timely. When I picked up the car, the CEL came back. Kurt and his team worked over an hour past closing time to diagnose why it came back. They found that it was not due to anything but the computer sending out not enough voltage. They fixed the car and made it drivable to make it back home. Thanks Kurt! Iβd trust them with anything! For background; Iβve torn motors out and torn them apart, done these exact services myself, etc. Had multiple high horsepower and troublesome BMWs all Iβve worked on and serviced myself. Earning my trust in general is very hard as Iβm extremely particular with my vehicles. Trust them! They are honest and good people! Every penny worth it!
